TWO NEW SPECIES OF GALERUC1NAE FROM SICHUAN AND YUNNAN PROVINCES (COLEOPTERA: CHRYSOMELIDAE)

In this paper, two new species of Galerueine beetles are described. They belong to two different genera: Paleosephairia Laboissaere and Liroetis Weise. The type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Aeademia Siniea, Beijing.Paleosepharia gongshana sp. nov. (fig. 1)Head pieeous-red; prothorax and underside of body ochraeeous; elytra with the basal 1/3 and a broad band behind middle piceous, the rest of the surface pale flavous; antennae pieeous, more or less stained with brown; tibiae and tarsi partly fuscous. Antennae slender, filiform, nearly as long as body. Pronotum finely punctured. Elytra closely and obsoletely punctured, with two pairs of post-scutellar furrows: the inner one parallel to the suture, deeply impressed, more or less fusiform, narrowed at anterior and gradually broadened behind; the external one curved sideward, rather shal-lowly impressed.Length: 4.5mm., breadth: 2.7mm.Holotype ♂, Yunnan: QongShan County, 1850m, 7. Ⅶ. 1979.To be separated from its congeners by the body differently coloured and the elytral furrows characteristically shaped.Liroetis grandis sp. nov.Shining yellow-brown; labrum, maxillary palpi, antennae and legs black; basal 2/3 of femora deep red-brown; each elytron with four small black spots: one on humeral callus, three post-median arranged in a transverse or slightly oblique line.Antennae slender, filiform, about 2/3 the length of body; second segment very small, third more than twice as long as second, fourth and fifth equal in length, each distinctly longer than third. Pronotum about 11/2 times as broad as long, foveolate on each side of middle, almost impunctate, the punctures being minute or indistinct. Elytra finely, closely and confusedly punctate.Length: 15mm., breadth: 7.4mm.Holotype ♀, Sichuan: Mt. Emei, 1780m, 28. Ⅶ. 1957; paratype 1♀, ditto.Resembling L. octopunctata, (Weise) in general appearance, but much larger in size, with the pronotum and elytra finely or indistinctly punctate.
