FOUR NEW SPECIES OF GALERUCINAE FROM XIZANG, CHINA (COLEOPTERA: CHRYSOMELIDAE)

In this paper, four new species of Galerucinae collected from Medog and Bomi of Xi-zang are reported. They belong to Yunaspes Chen, Zangastra Chen et Jiang and Arthrotidea Chen. The type specimens are kept in the Institute of Zoology, Academia Sinica, Beijing. Yunaspes medogensis sp. nov.Body broadly oblong; upperside yellowish-brown, underside brown; antennae flavous; scutcllum, apex of femora, bases of tibiae and barsi, black.Antennae extending to a little beyond the humetus, third segment more than twice as long as second, fourth about as long as the two preceding combined. Pronotum slightly over twice as broad as long, posterior margin indistinct; surface coarsely and sparsely punctate, a transverse deep depression on each side of the middle. Elytra very closely punctured and a little smaller than those of pronotum and vertex. Ⅻ. 1982.Allied to Y. nigritarsis Chen in colour, but much larger in size; vertex and pronotum spersely punctate; antennae from the 4 basal segments on entirely covered with hairs.Zangastra angusta sp. nov.Castaneous; trochanters, base and apex of femora, base of tibiae, and apex of abdomen pale; head and prothorax pale brown; antennae smoky, basal 4 segments with yellowish spots; scutellum black; elytra brown, strongly tinged with metallic golden green sheen.Frontal tubercles very prominent, Antennae filiform, a little shorter than the body, second segment small, third about 3 times as long as the second, fourth a little shorter than third, fifth subequal to fourth and longer than each of following. Pronotum about 1.5 times as broad as long, basal angles strongly produced; surface smooth, with four depressions and a median longitudinal line (fig. 1), very sparsely and finely punctured and pubescent. Elytra lateral margins subparallel, surface uneven, with a number of depressions, finely and densely punctured and pubescent.Length: 6-7.5mm., breadth; 2.8-3.5mm.Holotype ♂, Xizang: Medog, 29°20'N, 95°20'E. 2000 m, 21. Ⅸ. 1982. Allotype ♀, ditto., 15. IX. 1982.Resembling Z. pallidicollis Chen et Jiang but differs in colour and basal angles of pronotum. Also allied to Z. nitidicollis Chen et Jiang, differs in the depressions of pronotum shallower, and surface of last abdominal sternite with a furrow in middle In ♂.Zangastra picea sp. nov.Shining, piceous; trochanters, base and middle of femora, base of tibiae pale; apex of the last abdominal sternite lacteus-flavous.Frontal tubercles very prominent, impunctate; vertex with a longitudinal depressed line, surface with a few large punctures. Antennae longer than half of the length of body, third segment 3 times as long as the second, fourth distinctly shorter than third, fifth subequal to fourth. Pronotum 1.5 times as broad as long, posterior angles produced; surface with eight distinct tubercules (fig. 2), and some large setigerous punctures. Elytra finely punctate, each bearing a long hair which is directing backward; there are two larger depressions on each elytron.Length: 7 mm., breadth: 3 mm. Holotype ♂, Xizang: Medog, 29°20'N, 95°20'E, 2000 m, 21. Ⅸ. 1982. Allied to Z. tuberose Chen et Jiang but more shining, form of pronotum and tubercules also different (fig. 3).Arthrotidea scutellaris sp. nov.Head, prothorax, elytra and femora yellowish-brown, antennae light to dark brown, scutellum black; apex of femora, tibiae, tarsi and underside, fuscous.Frontal tubercles distinct, but not very prominent, subquadrate, sometime finely rugose. Antennae shorter than the body, slender, third segment longer than second, fourth about 1.5 times as long as the two preceding combined. Pronotum about twice as broad as long, disc very finely punctured. Elytra finely and closely punctate.Length: 9.5-10 mm., breadth: 4.6-5 mm.Holotype ♀, Xizang: Bomi, 29°45'N, 95°45'E, 2300 m, 14. Ⅷ, 1983. Paratypes 6♀♀, 20-23. VIII. 1983.Distinguished from all its congeners b
