Abstract

The usage of personal pronouns in XI Xiang Ji reflected a system of personal pronouns: the first person I,an(俺),za(咱);the second person you and nin(您) and the third person he.Different usage of I and an(俺) were decided by the member of the sentence.nin(您) could be used in single number but not used for respect.In Yuan Dynasty,third person could be called he,but no plural form they in the book.
