Abstract

Mediation of Society of Jesus is nonnegligible in Chinese-Western cultural exchange between Ming and Qing dynasties.From the perspertive of eastward spread of western culture,Society of Jesus couldn't impose western religion on Chinese,but widened the visual field of Chinese scholars through cultural exchange which caused the new fashion in Chinese intellectual circles.From the perspertive of westward spread of eastern culture,Chinese cultural imput by Society of Jesus had important significance in Europe,and promoted the Creation of important thinkers in Enlightenment.
