Abstract

Objective To provide a reference for the clinical rational application of cephalosporin. Methods Analyzing 2430 cases of 4 kinds of the third-generation cephalosporin such as cefoperazone, cefotaxime, ceftriaxone, ceftazidime and so on intravenously used clini- cally in the year 2006~2008, to discuss the incidence of adverse reactions. Results Adverse effects occurred in 70 cases, with the rate of 2.88%. Allergic reaction is the major adverse reactions of the third-generation of cephalosporin, with fewer side effects to nervous system and blood system. The occurrence of adverse reactions with the patients in age, gender was no significant difference. Conclusion In the clinical application of the third-generation cephalosporin, not only should pay attention to its anti-bacterial effects, but also highly con- cerned about the adverse effects of its occurrence, the proper use to prevent abuse.
