Abstract

A configuration scheme of a 5-dof adjustable parallel machine tool was presented,by taking a 3-dof spatial parallel mechanism as the main feeding mechanism with adjustable plane position on immovable platform.The virtual kinematics simulation model was established by using Pro/E software,an analytical approach of workspace based on kinematics simulation considering restriction was proposed,and its practical application example was given.The complicated mathematical modeling and deriving are avoided by this method,and the work of workspace analysis is reduced in a larger amount.
