Abstract
The apprehension of time and space is one of the initiators of literary creation. The apprehension of space affects man's physical and mental activities, while the apprehension of time represents his uttermost sense of life. And to overcome this apprehension of time is one of the objectives of literary activities. Language, and written language in particular, plays its unique role in reducing man's apprehension of time, which is well illustrated by literary creation. On the other hand, the apprehension of time pushes literary activities from spontaneousness to consciousness and influences what finally goes into literary works.
