Abstract

The product family design based on common product platform is an available means for mass customization.The research status of common product platform was summarized from the following aspects:the platform development and design;platform evaluation methods;and platform application in practice.Basing on the above,the deficiency of existing relevant research was analyzed and the developing trend of the present product platform was discussed.
