Review on product family design for mass customization

Abstract

According to the different emphases,the product family design researches were divided into five aspects:product architecture,product platform,design for variant,product family architecture and product family modeling.Then,some concepts,methods and key technologies of each aspect were discussed and summarized,and their limitaion were also poited out.Finally,the research trend of product family design and a new platform-based product family design thought were summarized.
