Abstract
Jumping King of Gan is a folk ceremony of the the Hualan Yao Tribe, one of the Yao minority. The thesis, through the desbrition of the activities, programmes and music of the ceremony, analyses the relationship between the ceremony and music as well as its music characteristic so as to give a better understanding of the profound history of the tribe.
