Abstract
Zuohongmen is a sacrificial ceremony of the Chaoshan Yao, a tribe of Yao Ethnic Minority. Music and dance are important component of the ceremony. The thesis, on the basis of the description of the Zuohongmen sacrificial ceremony music, carries out detailed analysis of the various ceremonial music and its profound cultural connotation so as to further understand the characterics of the social lives of the Shancha Yao people.
