Abstract

Objective:To investigate effects of irbesartan and spironolactone intervention on serum brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)in patients with chronic heart failure.Method:A total of 68chronic heart failure patients were randomly divided into observation group and the control group with 34cases in each group. Both groups were treated with conventional treatments while observation group was also given irbesartan tablets and spironolactone tablets. Results:After the treatments, heart functions of all patients were improved, relative indicators of the observation group was significant superior to that of the control group. After the treatment, the serum level of BNP of the two groups were significantly decreased(P0.01).At the same time, serum BNP level of the observation group was(1.74±0.48)ng/mL,significant lower than that of the control group(2.53 ± 0.61) ng/mL showing significant difference between the two groups(P0.01).After the treatment, the serum level of hs-CRP of two groups were significantly decreased(P0.01).serum hs-CRP level of the observation group was(6.73±0.96)μg/mL,lower than that of the control group(8.92±1.05)μg/mL,the difference was statistically significant(P0.01).Conclusion:Irbesartan and spironolactone shows obvious effects on chronic heart failure,it can obviously improve the serum BNP and hs-CRP levels in patients with chronic heart failure.
