Abstract
Objective: To observe the clinical effects of point injection combined with electroacupuncture in the treatment of acute peripheral facial paralysis and to research the best program to treat this disease. Methods: Patients with acute peripheral facial paralysis were divided randomly into the control group with electroacupuncture and the observation group with point injection in mecobalamin combined with electroacupuncture. After 3 courses, indicators were observed and compared in 2 groups including the clinical effect, the H-B facial nerve function classification and the adverse reactions. Results: There was no significant difference in the markedly cases and improvement cases between 2 groups. However, there was a statistical difference in healing cases and invalid cases. There was no obvious difference in the H-B facial nerve function Ⅲ grade and Ⅳ grade. But there was a staremarkable difference inⅠgrade,Ⅱ grade,Ⅴ grade and Ⅵ grade.Meanwhile, there was no significance in the adverse reactions cases. Conclusion: It could improve the clinical effect and promote the facial muscle function recovery that point injection combined with electro-acupuncture is used in the acute peripheral facial paralysis. It is also safe and reliable in this disease.
