Abstract
Objective To investigate the value of serum lipid profiles in evaluation of coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods Reported by coronary angiography,115 patients were divided into without CHD(group C,75 cases) and with CHD(group A,80 cases),of whom 36 cases with single-vessel disease(group A1) and 44 cases with multiple-vessel disease(group A2).Serum total cholesterol(TC),low-density lipoproteins(LDL-C),high-density lipoproteins(HDL-C),triglycerides(TG),lipoprotein a(Lpa),apolipoprotein AI(ApoAI) and apolipoprotein B(ApoB) were measured. The ratio of ApoB to ApoAI was calculated. Results Serum level of ApoB and the ratio of ApoB to ApoAI were significantly higher in group A than that in group C [(0.74±0.18)g/L vs.(0.66±0.16)g/L and(0.67±0.19) vs.(0.60±0.19)](P0.05).Serum concentration of LDL-C in group A2 was higher than that in group A1 [(3.05±0.84)mmol/L vs.(2.55±0.75)mmol/L](P0.05).Conclusion Both serum ApoB level and ApoB/ApoAI ratio has a certain value in predicting CHD.Examination of LDL-C is useful to evaluate the extent of coronary artery lesions.
