Abstract
The degradation of molasses fermentation wastewater by the combination of ultasonolysis and ozonation was investigated in laboratory-scale experiments. The effects of ozone flow rate, ultrasonic power, origin pH and reaction temperature on the decolorization of molasses fermentation wastewater and the kinetic of decolorization were studied. The results showed that ozonation combined with sonolysis was effective for the decolorization of molasses femetnation wastewater. After 10 times dilution, the decolorization of molasses femetnation wastewater was above 95% and the COD removal was above 80% after 60 min reaction at 25℃. The decolorization process of molasses fermentation wastewater under the treatment of ultrasonund combined with ozone fitted a apparent first order reaction.
