Abstract

Transnational higher education has become a globalizational education phenomenon and its quality assurance and accreditation has become a highlight that governments and societies and institutions concerned. Differences of the quality assurance and accreditation systems in higher education which based on different culture and convention are becoming great obstacles for its development. To overcome these obstacles, four models of quality assurance and accreditation are formed, which are based on the existing national quality assurance and accreditation systems, based on cross-border quality assurance and accreditation, based on meta-accreditation and based on international quality assurance and accreditation respectively. Only if cross-culture quality assurance and accreditation systems are studied, could we choose and innovate our model of quality assurance and accreditation in line with China's higher education convention and Chinese language feature.
