Abstract
In this paper, the sound samples are acquired from different positions of a stationary car.The subjective preference evaluation of sound quality is carried out with the paired comparison method.People with different preference are divided into two classes by hierarchical cluster method. The objective sound quality parameters, such as pressure level, sharpness and roughness are used to explain the cause of similarities and differences between the two kinds of people with the frequency spectrum technique.
