Abstract

The interior noise samples from six types of B-class cars driven at different speeds were selected as the evaluation objects. The subjective evaluation test of sound quality preference was carried out with the paired comparison.Several objective psycho-acoustical parameters of these samples were calculated.By means of linear correlation and multi-dimensional regression analysis,a mathematical model for subjective evaluation of noise preference was established. The results indicate that the B-class car's sound quality preference under the constant-velocity driving condition is affected by two parameters: loudness and sharpness.
