Results: After four weeks period of treatment with the medicines, the improvement of the clinical symptoms, signs,CT image and the blood rheology in the group of combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine were more significant than those in the group of western medicine. Conclusion: The combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine is more effective in treating the patients with acute focal cerebral infarction than the western medicine alone.
