Abstract
Geosteering drilling system was used in horizontal well,extended reach well,multi-lateral well,sidetracking well and deep exploratory well widely. At present,the conventional LWD drilling technology is hard to judge the borehole dip,relevant formation lithology,reservoir characteristics etc. The performance characteristics of the CGDS 172 NB near-bit geosteering drilling system were presented,the advantages and importance of near-bit geosteering drilling technology were analyzed combining with the application cases in Jianghan oilfield.
