EFFECT OF TUBERCULOSIS CONTROL FOR NON-RESIDENTS IN SHENZHEN CITY

Abstract

Objective:To study the mode of tuberculosis control among non-resident and to evaluate effect of the epidemiological situation of tuberculosis.Method:Tuberculosis control strategy that implemented by governments,commitment for detecting and cure infectious sources were drastically.Result:5771 of non-resident smear positive cases were registered.All were accepted DOT.5 224 of all were cured.Cured rate was 96.3%.Prevalence of smear positive tuberculosis of residents was reduced by 55.9% and prevalence of smear positive tuberculosis of non-resident was reduced by 38.6% from 1991 to 2000.Rate of initial was descended.Conclusion:The tuberculosis control in non-resident was very important.It directly effected the epidemiological situation of tuberculosis.It was essential,feasible and scientific to implement tuberculosis control strategy in non-residents.
