Abstract

Methylene blue solutions at various concentrations in a modified peat was prepared by using nitrate adsorption water phase. The initial concentration of methylene blue was within arranged from 20 to 120 mg/L.The test conditions were that the adsorption time was about 20~140 min,the initial concentration of methylene blue was within a range from 20 to 120 mg/L and the temperature was 30 ℃.The adsorption isotherm and kinetic curves of the nitrifying pea when adsorbing themethylene blue were obtained. The test results showed that the Langmuir adsorption isotherm model can relatively accurately describe the adsorption phase equilibrium of methylene blue on the nitrifying pea(R2=0.9915).A quasi second stage reaction model can more accurately describe the adsorption process of the nitrifying pea(R2=0.995).It can be known from the fore going that the nitrifying pea can achieve a best effectiveness for removing themethylene blue pigment in the watersolution and was a kind of adsorption agent with a development potentia. The adsorption mechanism controlled the spread of particles by investigate of curve of weber-morris.
