Capacity Analysis of WiMAX Point-to-Point Broadband Wireless Access

With the rapid development of communication technology,mobile broadband and broad-band mobile is an inevitable trend in the development of communications network.WiMAX,based on wireless metropolitan area networking technology,could provide wireless access with high data rate and large area.Meanwhile,WiMAX is capable of supporting line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight transfer and providing high speed wireless connection to the Internet.WiMAX,as the extended technology of cable and digital subscriber line,could realize broadband wireless access.This paper first presents the application modes of WiMAX,then discusses in detail its downlink and uplink capacity in PTP application,thus providing some design reference for the related engineers.
