Abstract
This paper presents a feasible PACS distributed archiving mechanism designed and implemented by Java technology, which enables the system archive medical images smoothly in distributed environment, so provides the upper application more better supports. Meanwhile, the mechanism adopts open architecture designing idea which ensures the extensibility of system. This mechanism has been proved in the application in practical system and has received good effect.
