Abstract

Laser rapid prototyping of coated sand was investigated with a number of experiments.Effects of different process parameters such as laser power, scanning rate, preheat temperature, power bed depth on the sintered quality were studied systematically. The qualified laser rapid prototyping sand patterns for molding were obtained.
