Observation of acute poisoning patients treated with hemoperfusion

Abstract

Objective To observe the curative effect and safety of hemoperfusion(HP) in the treatment of acute poisoning patients. Methods Thirty acute poisoning patients(the treatment group) received hemoperfusion and routine detoxification treatment.And other 20 acute poisoning patients were treated with routine detoxification treatment as the control group.All the patients were monitored and recorded the changes of their consciousness,the serum cholinesterase,and the heart and renal functions. Results The treatment with hemoperfusion may effectively eliminate poisonous substances in the blood of acute poisoning patients,accelerate their recovery(P0.01),and have no influence on their heart function(P0.05). Conclusion Hemoperfusion is an effective and safe treatment for acute poisoning patients.
