Approaches to Translation of Political Texts

Abstract

The translation of political texts is characterized by specialized features and strictly observed rules in practice,which is a vitally important area and subject matter in translation studies.This paper,based upon a careful analysis of the expressive and stylistic traits of political texts,expounds the orientation,general criterion and five basic principles in translation of political texts,and furthermore this paper,by way of exemplification,discusses the five types of errors to be easily made in translating practice of political texts.
