Abstract
Objective To explore the expression of miR-21 in breast invasive ductal carcinoma, and the correlation between expression of miR-21 and the clinicopathological features of breast carcinoma. Methods From Mar 2009 to Mar 2011,48 cases invasive ductal carcinomas specimens, and adjacent tissues(specimens distance from the foci 2 cm),and 25 cases of benign breast lesions were collected.Real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) detect the expression of miR-21 in breast invasive ductal carcinoma and adjacent tissues and benign breast lesions;ER,PR,Her-2 expression status were detected with immunohistochemical staining.Results(1)Expression of miR-21 in breast invasive ductal carcinoma was higher than non-tumor tissues(including breast benign lesions and adjacent tissues)(P= 0.000,0.007);there is no significant differences between benign breast lesions and adjacent tissues;(2)Higher miR-21 expression is associated with advanced stage、Lymph node metastasis and Her2 expression;have no relation with tumor size, nuclear grade,ER and PR(P0.05).Conclusion The expression of miR-21 in invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast can be used as one of the indicators for the diagnosis and prognosis of breast cancer.
