Observations on the Efficacy of Acupuncture and Moxibustion plus Blood-letting Puncture and Movable Cupping in Treating Acne

Abstract

Objective To investigate the efficacy of acupuncture and moxibustion plus blood-letting puncture and movable cupping in treating acne.Methods Sixty acne patients were randomly allocated to two groups.A treatment group was treated with acupuncture and moxibustion plus blood-letting puncture and movable cupping and a control group,with acupuncture and moxibustion.The curative effects were evaluated in both groups after 30 days' treatment.Results The total efficacy rate was significantly better in the treatment group than in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture and moxibustion plus blood-letting puncture and movable cupping can effective increase the cure rate for acne.
