Abstract
A new concept about metadata for database operation-automation is presented, and the characteristic of this type of metadata is analyzed in this paper. Based on the practice of system development, five kinds of metadata for database operation-automation are discussed in detail, they are system interoperation metadata, description and management metadata of basic business data, input and output metadata for individuality, metadata for data-flow controlling and metadata for promoting the system intelligence.
