Data Analysis on Accidental Death of Reproductive Age Women,Yangzhou City,2006-2009

[Objective]To understand the level and causes of accidental deaths of reproductive age women,and take measures to decrease the rates of accidental deaths of reproductive age women.[Methods]Analysis was made on data of accidental deaths in Yangzhou city from 2006 to 2009.[Results]The mean rate of accidental death of reproductive age women was 9.38/105 in Yangzhou from 2006 to 2009.The annual average rates were 7.99/105,10.11/105,9.70/105 and 9.71/105(P0.05),respectively.The rates of accidental deaths in age segments of 15-,20-,25-,30-,35-,40-,45-49 were 3.86/105,5.58/105,6.57/105,7.77/105,13.38/105,16.06/105 and 6.27/105 respectively.Among 447 accidental deaths,the major causes were road traffic accident(41.61%),suicide(27.96%),drowning(8.50%) and poisoning(4.70%).[Conclusion]The highest rate of accidental deaths is in 2007.The major rates of accidental death are in age segments of 40-44y.The major causes of accidental death are road traffic accident,suicide,drowning and poisoning.
