Abstract

Objective To establish the rat model of low back pain due to intervertebral disc injury and observe the change of CD34 in intervertebral discs. Methods Ninety-six male SD rats were randomly divided into control group(sham operation group),first operation group and second operation group.Expression of CD34 in injured L6-7 intervertebral discs was detected with immunohistochemical methods at different time points. Results The rat model of low back pain due to intervertebral disc injury was successfully established.Sporadic CD34 positive cells were observed in the inner fibrous rings of intervertebral discs after operation. Conclusion CD34 is expressed in intervertebral discs of rats with low back pain due to intervertebral disc injury, indicating the formation of vascular endothelial cells.
