Abstract
There exists 187 typical rare and endangered tropical plants in Hainan island,excepting the Orchidaceae plants and Otophora unilocularis which is regarded extinct,belonging to 80 families,among them there are 6 families,15 species of gymnosperm.All species of Cyatheaceae,Dicksoniaceae,Helminthostachyaceae,Parkeriaceae,Dipterocarpaceae and Cycadaceae in Hainan Island are regarded as typical rare and endangered tropical plants.
