Abstract
Efficient metadata management is a precondition of information integration in data warehouse. Data warehousing technology in engineering test applications is discussed. The engineering data are organized separately and their schemas are complex and variable. So a metadata management model based on the description-driven technology is proposed, which makes the engineering test data ware- house provide many powerful features including self definition and extensibility. An instance of metadata management and maintenance model is implemented.
