Ecological Marxism′s Modern Interpretation of Ecological Crisis——Interpretation of Eco-Socialism: From Deep Ecology to Social Justice

Pepper,an ecological Marxist,with the approach of Marxist historical materialism and the analysis of capitalism,expatiated on the ecological contradictions of capitalism,analyzed the root and the solution of ecological crisis and finally put forward his green stratagem,namely,striving for eco-socialism characterized by anthropocentrism.Pepper′s ecological Marxism unveiled the ecological contradictions of capitalism,but he failed to break through the limitations of western Marxism and eventually fell into fantasy.The paper argues that the Marxist fundamental theories and thoughts of other schools should be employed to solve the dilemma.
