Abstract
Ecological footprint is a new way to quantitatively survey the degree of human being's use of nature. On the basis of a simple introduction to its theory and method, this paper conducts quantitative studies of per capita ecological footprint and per capita ecological load-bearing capacity during 1992-2001 in Nanjing. The result shows a serious deficit of ecological footprint. Moreover, this deficit has been increasing year after year. In accordance with pertinence, the paper builds a regression model of ecological footprint and per capita GDP, level of material utilization, and predicts the ecological footprint during 2002-2006 in that city.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
