Hovering between Aesthetics and Politics——An Interpretation of Zhou Yang's Literary Ideas from 1937 to 1949

Zhou Yang is a particular figure in modern Chinese history of literary theory. His idea from 1937 to 1949 in Yan'an is an important part in his literary theory. This thesis trie to interpret his literary ideas from three aspects. He interpreted Mao Ze-dong's literary ideas, and hankered for Realism theory, and evaluated the writers and writings. We can discover that his literary ideas hover between aesthetics and politics.
