Abstract
Powdery mildew pathogen spores of melon were collected under nature infection in field. The resistance of seven cultivars of melon in Hainan province was preliminary identified with the spore suspension. The results showed thatJinmi No.6 and Jinhui No.1 were indicative of middle disease-resistance,the other were indicative of high disease-resistance.The incidence of Xinhongxincui was 68.8% which was the lowest, the average of disease index of Jinmi No.6 was13.95 which was the lowest of seven cultivars.
