Abstract

It is necessary to analyze with a chart model of microeconomics the parking problems in terms of the compensation of external costs from the traffic jams and social cost for parking, the mechanism and result reducing traffic volume and congestion and the comparison between road pricing and other traffic control methods. Accordingly, this paper puts forward ideas to introduce subsidies to the parking management and discusses the role and function of the parking management policy in the traffic demand management.
