Abstract

This article analyzes the main factors affecting the stability of wax emulsion,such as the types and dosage of emulsifying agents used,emulsifying temperature,mixing speed,emulsifying time,etc.Researchers have developed an emulsifying compound used for emulsifying paraffin.Using this emulsifying compound,they examined the technical conditions for emulsifying paraffin and came up with a conclusion that the amount of emulsifying compound used should be 25%~30% of that of paraffin used,the emulsifying temperature is 80℃,the mixing time should be 800r/min and that the emulsification lasts 30min.Wax emulsion produced under these conditions is a white,viscous liquid with pH value at 7 and VO(the volume of stratified wax emulsion)/VT(the volume of total solutions) ratio at 100%.The product has excellent stability and dispersibility(First Class) and the wax content ranges between 10% and 20%.Placed for three months,the product did not stratify or deposit and did not stratify 30h after being diluted with any proportions of water.
