Abstract
Objective: To compare the lipid-regulating effects of simvastatin with various dose in patients with hyperlipidemia. Methods: 43 patients with lipidemia were randomly divided into group A and group B, all were received 10mg/d and 20mg/d simvastatin resp-ectively.Serum lipid profile was determined before and 8 weeks after the treatment. Results: (1)After 8 weeks of treatment, serum total cholesterol (TC) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) levels were decreased in two groups. (2)Serum triglyceride (TG) level was decreased and high density lipoprotein cholesterlo (HDL-C) level was increased in group B, both TG and HDL-C didn't change in group A(P0.05). (3) The lipoprotein (a)level decreased in both groups after 8 weeks of treatment. (4)In two groups, serum lipid profile were lowered in effective rate of 68.75% and 90.32% .Conclusion: 20mg/d simvastatin was more effective.
