Abstract
Xizhen cattle, widely distributing in Qinba areas, were fed with rice straw treated with different methods. The results showed that feeding ammoniated, microbial processed rice straw could improve feed efficiency, feed intake and average daily gain of Xizhen cattle, and average daily gains of cattle fed with ammoniated, microbial processed rice straw were improved by 24% and 11%. During 90 day finishing period, profit per cattle fed with ammoniated rice straw was increased with $ 90.
