Abstract

A study was carried out on the effects of different irrigation amount on irrigation water consumption and soil water use efficiency of greenhouse cucumber with drip irrigation under film mulching in arid areas of Ningxia. The results showed that: the water consumption increased with cucumber plant growth, the maximum time was at the fruit stage, and then it declined gradually.Under different treatments in each stage, the water consumption of cucumber increased after irrigation amount increased, while the soil water consumption reduced after irrigation amount increased. When the irrigation amount was up to 563 mm,the irrigation water could satisfy the needs of cucumber and had highest yield, and water use efficiency was 33.4 kg/m3.
