Abstract

Objective: To study the diagnostic value of the lumbar disc herniation by CT scanning. Methods: The clinical finding and CT view of 322 cases with lumbar disc herniation were retrospectively analyzed. Results: According to CT appearance, it may be divided into 6 types: I. central type, II. postero-lateral type. III. forminal type, IV. extreme lateral type, V. nucleus prolapsus and VI. schmorl's nodule. Conclusions: CT scanning is value method in diagnosis of lumbar disc herniation.
