Abstract
The finite element model of the drive axle housing was built. Then the ANSYS software was adopted for the dynamic stress analysis of the drive axle housing, and the dangerous points were found.Using these data,a fatigue analysis was performed by ANSYS-Fatigue model and the integral distribution of fatigue life of the axle housing was got.The most dangerous position distributed around the leaf-spring seat area, which is basically consistent to bench fatigue test. Therefore the correctness of the theoretical analysis is verified, and provides a method for designing the housing and analyzing the related drive performance.
