Abstract
The topic of the 8th Conference of Traffic and transportation Forum 7+1 is Transport demand management and sustainable development of urban traffic.It mainly discusses some views on transport demand management considering the sustainable development of urban traffic.The long-term measures of transport demand management are explored with practice of Beijing.It points out that there are some successful experience of several major cities in the world can be learned by Beijing.This conference also suggests that the compressive transport management should be implemented under the guidance of system framework.
