Research progress on bioactive products produced by marine microorganisms

Objective To summarize the research progress in the study of marine microorganisms′ metabolites and their bioactivities,and predict the development of new marine drugs.Methods Recently published fifty-four papers were consulted,and the new bioactive compounds of microorganism from marine actinomycetes,fungi and bacteria were summarized based on the different bioactivities;their bioactivities included antibacterial,anti-tumor and anti-inflammatory activities.Results A variety of bioactive components was found in marine microorganisms,and they were hopeful to be developed as anti-tumor,anti-inflammatory drugs.Conclusion This review provides a reference to the research and development of marine bioactive components.
