Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of Xuesaitong injection on myocardium apoptosis of the cells during ischemic-reperfusion injury in rats. Methods Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUDP nick end labelling(TUNEL)method was used to detect apoptotic myocytes.Apoptosis in cardiac myocytes was determined by transmission electron microscopy(TEM).Results The apoptotic indexes(AI)in myocardium were significantly higher in group X and group MIR than in group S(P0.001,P0.05);Compared with group MIR,AI in group X was remarkably decreased(P0.05).Apoptosis was not found in the control group. In group MIR,typical apoptotic cells were seen by TEM,while in group X,apoptosis decreased compared with group MIR.Conclusion Xuesaitong has protective effect by alleviating toxic action and inhibiting myocardium apoptosis.
