Abstract

The status and causes of income gap in U.S.are analyzed from two perspectives,including scale income distribution and functional income distribution.In order to understand the income gap in U.S.,either the practical features of market operation or the policies of income distribution need to be analyzed or explored. Among them,individual income tax is a major tool for U.S.government to practice income redistribution.
