Design and Implementation of Search Engine Based on Lucene

Search engine is an important tool for people to search on Internet.Although the general search engines have strong functions,they can't satisfied this need of searching in a portal site with many sub-sites.This article describes how to develop a search engine for our need quickly based on Lucene which is a power full-text retrieval tools. And compared with Google by experiment,the custom-built search engine based on Lucene has better performance in searching in information portal having many sites.
